Advancing Sustainable Communities
Today, government and private organizations are focused on developing sustainable communities and maintaining environmental infrastructure. However, obtaining technical assistance, proper financing, understanding regulatory issues, and public participation can often stand in the way.
That’s where we can help.
Rural Leadership Development
EFC has been a key asset to rural leaders by providing meeting facilitation, public participation training, and dispute resolution, and has been an avenue for leaders to obtain technical assistance for environmental infrastructure projects. With our robust network of technical assistance providers, EFC can help you through each step of the process.
Infrastructure Education and Outreach Tools
EFC is able to provide a number of asset management and budgeting tools to help plan for long-term infrastructure sustainability. We also provide instructional guidebooks and technical assistance. We provide information on grant and loan programs and a number of state and federal publications on environmental infrastructure and planning.
University-Community Collaborations
Housed at the SyracuseCoE Center for Sustainable Community Solutions at Syracuse University, we are able to leverage a unique network of academic institutions, businesses, non-profits, and technical assistants to provide communities with a wide array of skills and services.
